What Latin are you reading? I say ‘reading,’ not ‘studying.’ Happy is he who can take down his books and  read them over and over without fear of an overbearing teacher! … A good book is the noblest work of man. That is why you should not only read but write as well. There is no shortage of readers; I am one. If you aren’t planning a book, at least consider writing a short work. It will be of no use to posterity if you have drawn breath and lived your life, sometimes with ease, sometimes with difficulty, if you haven’t thought and written well.

-H. D. Thoreau (signed) Remember to write
